First things first: Cheerleading is a sport. Anyone who has ever taken part in an activity that made them feel larger than life, grew the greatest love for it. You are so right. I have been a cheerleader since I was six and captain for 3 years. There is nothing like being a cheerleader. I work harder during cheerleading pratice than I do with any of my other sports. Anyone whose says it's not a sport is dead wrong and I would love to see them try to do what we do.
