Etched in stone
Submerged in dirt and grime
Kicked in the water
To conquer the test of time
Beaten by the sun
And swollen by the heat
Altered by the touch of a million feet
Thrown into the darkness
Thought to be tough
Conspicuously shining
Like a diamond in the rough
Showered by the brightness from the stars up above
And presented to me as your everlasting love
