Just Wondering... am I too Nice or Mean?

In my past I found that being too nice to women only gave room for the women to not consider me to be not the immediate, but more so the long run guy. Now I have grown cold and really dont give girls the chance to get the good side of me unless I know they're worth it [I kno that sounds messed up but its tru]. But even then I no longer let any1 in what should I do?
