Lord help me...not to go off her Family!

Okay my ma iz gettin on my NERVES! I jus cant take it anymore! I do EVERYTHING 4 myself...n i even pay rent. So tell me why she tellin me what im GONNA do 4 the summer. Told me that i have 2 stay home n work n save up... then when they move over the summer 4rm IN 2 VA i gotta go 2. HELL NO! Im goin 2 ATL so i can stay w/ my friend n work. Then when i want i can go visit n wrk at the same time on the weekends! I know she my ma but am i wrong if i jus up & leave? Because i mean im not a child & she already got on my last nerve. Thats how she left her house when she 1st moved out. I just dnt understand why she think she knows whats good 4 me n she dnt do a thing 4 herself! Dag! Im jus gonna go i dnt care what she say! Cuz she aint even payin 4 my skool ne way! Im the one that got the loan! I really dnt care how she feels about it anyway...i know it sounds cold-hearted but...i gotta do what is right for me not her. She jus gotta get over it cuz thats the way things are gonna be!

I have to agree! Eventho, u may second guess yaself cuz she's ya mom, you know what's best for you! If she were doing things for you, then maybe I would have a different take on, but since she's not...you gotta do what you gotta do!

To be honest I can't remember that far back to relate. But, I know your mom has made some mistakes. I know you will too eventually. She may never do what you know is right. She may never recoupe her loss of the relationship with you. As far as your plans, only you will decide what you are going to do, but make it right with your mom. Regardless. Read Elynor's post today. Life is too short to hold bitterness. Mom may have screwed up and even be screwed up as far as you are concerned, but she is still your mama. Do what you are going to do, but respect her position. I'm not asking you to change yours. I'm just asking you to adjust some attitude before you make the next move. Good luck at Tuskegee!!
