counting down

I'm ready to get out of this hell hole known as high school...Does anyone ever wonder why they call it HIGH school....come to my school and you will find out. Most of the kids up here either are high or act as if they are. Going to school with these snobby little white kids for the past 4 years has me running to an hbcu!!!!! I know there is nothing wrong with going to a "white school",but sometimes you need that balance. I can't get that at my school because too many of the black kids "act white". that leaves me having to "act white" in order to fit in....I'm tired of acting...I want to be comfortable being myself. I am a black student who likes to sound educated, but I don't want anyone to question if I forgot where I came from.
