I went to HU's open house today and it was great didnt recognize any faces but it was great nonetheless. I love the yard and the whole vibe of Howard but there is one major problem MONEY. My mom went to the fin.aid office and they r giving me basically nothing my mother will have to take out $20000 in loans and shes not sure if she can get it because her credit is very bad. Whats a girl to do? On top of that I cant get switched into the school of b until second semester because I have to pull my grades up. I need money bad and its not lookin to good I most likely wont go 2 prom because we have to save every penny. Please prey for me and my situation give advice or something because i really need the most right now

yea i went to the open house too. all i gotta say is try to apply for as many scholarships as possbile through your school to gain some money. I had the same problem as u but i been applying for a lot of local scholarships and so far i got 2 so that takes the price down a lil.

Jackie, keep your head up and stay prayed up. I haven't received anything but loans also so I like everyone else in our shoes, am applying for numerous private scholarships. I will most definietly keep you in my prayers. ttyl ~Stay Blessed~

I got the 20000 plus loan too girl! We had to check it out in the admin building on friday. Open house was pretty good and the yard was poppin. Overall it was a nice day I wish I saw some of you there! Good luck girl with the money situation cus im in the same boat. I was thinking about quitting prom too but were gotta look at what is important and what me want. Getting a job over the summer could help for extra expenses we may bring up during the year so that our parents dont have to give extra money (I was looking into that for the summer). You can do it girl. If Howard is your first choice and you wanna do business as the major, God willing, a way will be made for you!
