HISTORICALLY KNOW-NOTHING IS KIN TO DO-NOTHING!

How can American corporations be charged to be more productive when Congress seems to do less than the average American!

Sup Connect!

I was scouring the national papers in hopes to finding some blog-fodder and wham!

It was reported by JAMES KUHNHENN
of KNIGHT RIDDER NEWSPAPERS that Congress historically is doing less this year than it has in over 50 years!

Back in the 1850s the American Party members were believed to be a secret society. As lore would have it, if someone asked an American Party member about their doings it is said that they answered "I Know-Nothing."

If someone asked this congress "What have you done this year" They could intone "We have Done-Nothing!" Now, lackadiasicalness is not endemic to this Congress only or, to the whole of the Congress-but it is true in the general if it is not true in the specific.

If we are asking our corporations to be more productive to spur our economy along-including sending the D.I.A. and the AMEX exchanges to new highs-then Congress should lead by example.

Knowing history is very important Connect. See, "if you know your own history you can correct someone who misstates it."

The reason for this downturn in productivity of this Congress is some see it as Republicans resting on their laurels-as if!

What does the Black online community think?

I regreet that I am not as UP on the political scene as I'd like, but I do feel as though the Republican party have a half a-- attitude now. They know that they have someone in office who will, dispite how bad they mess up he will, cover up and side with them. That is one of the grestest things about the Republican party is, no matter what they may disagree about they will always put up a united front. The democratic party could learn from this. Learn how to keep the knowledge of some of your varying diffrences to a minimum and present to everyone else a party who is well organized and ready to stand together to bring about the change this country needs.
