Financial Aid From Howard

You guys I have basically been camping out by my mailbox waiting for that financial aid package to make it's way from DC to MD. Has anybody from Howard recieved theirs yet? If so how are things looking for you, are they being generous or are they being stingy as hell? Anybody get any scholarships or grants or anything? Please let me know because I am so anxious to get mine. It's like I finally got into the school of my dreams and now I just gotta hope and pray that it's affordable. Give me a heads up.

I was called for verification so I will be among the last to hear about a fin aid decision. This really made me want to curse because I applied to HU back in November 2004 and heard nothing at all from them until March. I submitted FAFSA in January and heard nothing from fin aid until I called last month to find out that I had been called for verification. I received he Legacy scholarship that pays for tuition but I will probably have to pay for the rest...They are verrrrrry slow and when you call people want to get attitudes. I just quit calling because they really piss me the **** off in that office. But Im going to HU anyway because those people will not have any impact on my overall HU experience.

I was really pissed when I ot my awards back b/c they only dished out like $2,000 of free money, so I basically have to pay the rest out in loans and I'm going to be in major debt by the time I get out of school. But its OK b/c i think it's worth it.
