Who We Are
Project S.M.A.R.T.S. is an initiative program designed for a single mother with a dependent child who thirsts for positive educational knowledge. the mother should understand that, without a college degree, the chances of her achieving success and obtaining a secure future are extremely low.

This unique mission is programmed toward mothers 18 to 30 years old, with one child between the ages of 1 and 10 years old, must be of low to moderate income, and head-of-household.

General Admission Requirements
The College accepts students who have graduated from an accredited high school or have earned the equivalent to a high school diploma and have submitted the required application for admissions, test scores, high school and college transcripts on file in the Voorhees College Admissions Office.

Project S.M.A.R.T.S. Requirements
Applicant must first apply with the Office of admissions.

A complete application must be submitted to the Office of Admissions.
All official educational transcripts.
Proof of Exit Exam.
SAT or ACT test score.
Must have Medical Form.
Applicant must be willing to submit all personal data records.
Once the above requirements are met, your interest in this program will be forwarded to the appropriate designated Project S.M.A.R.T.S. personnel.
You must first receive an acceptance letter of admissions to Voorhees College. This acceptance letter is not an acceptance to Project S.M.A.R.T.S.
In order to be considered for enrollment to Project S.M.A.R.T.S. the following must be submitted to the Project Coordinator:

Completed admissions package;
An autobiography;
Three reference letters;
A formal interview with the coordinator, Residential Manager and other key college personnel.

Great!! I love it. I recently performed career counseling for candidates throughout the greater New Haven CT region. It would be great to duplicate such a program in this area. By the way it was not named SMART up here- It was basically the Welfare-To-Work program, however, I envision something similar with a degree of pre-development as it relates contextualized training for our Single Mothers with desires to enhance their way of life...TBN - CT
