Young African Americans Reaction to Trump's Election

As an HBCU professor using some of the break to get ready for the Spring semester, I would appreciate it if members of the HBCU.com family could take a minute to share their thoughts on the election of Donald Trump to the presidency. I'm especially interested in your thoughts because many of you voted for the first time in 2016.

I'm mainly focused in the following:

1. Right now what word (or words) would you use to describe your reaction to Trump being elected president?
2. At this moment does what happened in the 2016 election campaign and Trump's victory make you feel more or less likely to be involved in political activity in the future?
3. Does a Trump presidency make you more or less optimistic about your own future, or do you feel it will make no difference?

Thanks for the input. Have an enjoyable holiday and a great Spring semester.
