Gospel concert and comedy show among planned FVSU Homecoming activities
Fort Valley State University’s Homecoming celebration is right around the corner. As the campus reflects on its historic accomplishments and promising future, all members of the Fort Valley State Family (alumni, students, faculty, staff, families and friends) are invited to visit campus and celebrate all things FVSU during October 16-22, 2016. This year’s theme, “Wildcat Pride…The Greatest,” pays homage to legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, who served as the university’s parade marshal in 1989.
Homecoming activities include a gospel concert, kick-off celebration, community service projects, the royal coronation of Miss FVSU, a free comedy showcase, an annual golf tournament and a “Flashback” alumni day party. Don’t miss Friday’s step show at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance.
