1 Chronicles 4:9-10 "Prayer of Jabez"

WILLIAM W. HEMMANS III · Monday, January 23rd 2006 at 5:51PM · 423 views
Even though the book Prayer of Jabez by Bruce Wilkerson is a deep book and clarifies much, there are more meanings to this scripture if You apply Yourself and place Yourself within the context of a scripture that fits all who struggle.

9. And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow.

10. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest Bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine Hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me!
And God granted him that which he requested.

*With all the brilliant minds here, I hope to see the addition of knowledge to enrich this scripture.

Note: Look at the exclamation mark in this scripture, Jabez was going off!
Also remember the Bible is neutral gender.

I love this scripture. Donald Lawrence and the Tri City Singers sing 'Bless Me (Prayer of Jabez)'. That's one of my favorite songs because I want God to enlarge my territory.
