One thing I love about my race is that we come in all shades. So why are light skin girls constantly targeted for hate in the black communities.it's all because of some bull!who cares who's in the videos,or who some n*gga might prefer!what ever happened to black unity?black women united?Light skin brotha's gettin hated on too and it's sick.Personally,I like a darker male.I would rather have a darker husband,so our kids wont be so light. It's sad ,but I dont want my kids to go through the stuff I had to go through with my own people because of my color.i was very light as a child, with long hair(which I cut) and I would constantly have girls testin my gangsta'.I had to prove my blackness for too long.It wasn't long before they found out,I was just a as black as them.

It's funny that u think light skinned girls get too much hate. I think that darker girls don't get enough credit for their beauty. I am lightskinned and one thing I hate to hear is people comment on my skin tone as if it has anything to do with my beauty. I think people are stuck on skin tone though. Honestly most of the light skinned girls I know think they blazin because of their skin tone like somebody light skin can't be ugly (as if) and that's what makes people mad.

Dark, light, somewhere in between........It makes no difference. Y'all are all beautiful and bring something different to the table. Stop trying to decide who's got it worse and enjoy the splendor that is you. Much love.

Im a medium-brown skin tone, and my hair (if I would stop cutting it) grows to the average length. And personally, I've never had a problem with 'finding a man' or feeling as if light skinned people are more beautiful. I can understand the hate towards the lighter girls with long hair (and not all light girls have long hair) but I think it's all because of what the media portrays as beautiful. I think everyone needs to get over the animosity that threatens the 'black women united' vibe! We got the light skinned girls complaining about being hated on, and the darker skinned girls complaining about not being seen as beautiful enough. If we all stopped comparing ourselves to what we THINK is beautiful, we'll realize that it's a topic that won't even matter in the years to come. Beauty WILL fade, and all that will be left is a personality.
