The Lady Tigers of Grambling State were predicted to finish in eighth place overall for the 2014-15 basketball season.

As she transitioned into college, Domond became a Division I college basketball standout at the University of Iowa and was selected into the USA team where she earned a silver medal and later became a player for the WNBA. She was the 19th overall pick of the New York Liberty in the 1998 WNBA draft and played in nine games with the Sacramento Monarchs in 1998.

On October 29, College Sports Madness named freshman guard, Dierre Ely, the SWAC Preseason Freshman of the Year. She is from Arlington, Texas and is expected to bring success to the team this season. The Lady Tigers welcomes a total of seven freshmen.

GSU finished third in the conference last season in scoring, averaging 69.4 ppg. They finished second in the league in offensive rebounds, with a total of 482, averaging 15.5 per game.

The Lady Tigers has one returning player on their roster for the 2014-15 season, Jaylan Bodiford. She will be an important factor on the team and a main leader.

Grambling will open the season with two road games, starting with a trip to Oxford, Mississippi on Nov. 14 to take on The University of Mississippi. From there, the Lady Tigers will take on Auburn University on Nov. 17 in Auburn, Alabama.

The Lady Tigers' first home game will be on Nov. 20 against Tugaloo College.
