Central State University's Center for Education & Natural Sciences was dedicated to Biz Talk host Joshua I. Smith in recognition of his contributions and commitment to the University. The dedication ceremony was held on October 17. Joshua, a member of CSU's Class of 1963, founded many companies including, at one time, one of the largest and fastest growing African-American companies in the United States, MAXIMA Corporation.

Joshua was appointed by President George H. W. Bush as the first Chairman of the U.S. Commission on Minority Business Development. He was the first African American to serve on the boards of directors of FedEx Corp., Caterpillar, Inc., and Inland Steel Corp. He also served on the boards of Allstate Insurance Corp., the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and was Chairman of the National Urban Coalition.

You can listen to Biz Talk every Saturday at 8 AM on Jazzy 88.9 WCSU-FM.
