PVAMU, in conjunction with alumnus Paul Matthews ’66 of the Buffalo Soldiers National Museum, will host the traveling exhibition “Giving Back: The Soul of Philanthropy Reframed and Exhibited” in November 2015.

The groundbreaking show, — features the work of author Valaida Fullwood alongside Charles Thomas, and explores the essence of giving traditions in the African-American community through vivid imagery and engaging narratives.

“This is a great opportunity to expose the African-American philanthropy experience to a larger audience,” said Nelson Bowman III, executive director of Development. “We are excited about partnering with the Buffalo Soldiers Museum to host the exhibit, and illuminating the untold stories of ordinary people doing extraordinary things.”

The exhibit will tour historically black colleges and universities and cultural institutions for two-years beginning in 2015.
