ASU, PRINCE HALL GRAND LODGE OF ALABAMA TO ANNOUNCE ESTABLISHMENT OF FOOTBALL CLASSIC
Alabama State University and the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Alabama will announce the establishment of a new football classic at a 4 p.m. press conference Tuesday in Birmingham at the Sheraton Hotel Grand Ballroom.
Dr. Gwendolyn Boyd, President of Alabama State University and Corey D. Hawkins, Sr., Esq., KYGCH, 33°, Grandmaster, Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Alabama, will announce the establishment of the 1st Annual Prince Hall Masons Americanism Football Classic. This year’s game will be played on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 5 p.m. as the Hornets host the Texas Southern Tigers at the New ASU Stadium in Montgomery.
In announcing this historic venture, Dr. Boyd and Grandmaster Hawkins will formally sign the two-year contract agreement during the press conference. Among the goals and benefits of this new classic football game will be the establishment of scholarships for Alabama State students.
