WOW.... I could not believe my eyes today while I watched three different show on BET about HIV/AIDS. I so wish the programing on BET were a bit better. I hope one day BET realizes that it is not all about shaking ya thing, and how to become a HUSTLER....HMMM and that is a whole different blog..lol
Maybe I am just growing up and realize that there is more to life... I would love to see different shows on BET other then repeats of old sit-coms, viedos, and 106 & Park.

Lol I agree totally, although I am starting to enjoy the ultimate hustler. Reginald Hudlin has just taken over the reigns at BET and has PROMISED CHANGE and bring it into the future. Time will tell the truth, Here is something else to consider would we watch a channel that didn't play videos and comedies all day?

BET is Black Entertainment Television, and the main objective is to do just that. There is nothing wrong with exposing new talent through music videos and comic view, but there has to be some balance. There is a good & bad, beautiful & ugly side to every aspect of life. BET needs to design a program or a sister channel that focuses on ways to promote education. BET has a couple, but we are not going to watch Jakie Reed at 10/11 pm. I definitely feel ya on the HIV issue. I am devoting my entire being to educating young people about health related issues, that being a #1 priority issue. But we ourselves have to make changes around us before we look outside our surrounding and expect aid from others. Hopefully your blog will encourage others to speak more fluently about these issues.
