HELP?
Why is it that when i start to feel better my mom has to go and try to break me dwn again!!! I wanna go to tuskegee soooo bad!! and she knows that but she told me 2nite that she know that i really wanna go there but i should just go to grambling because ill be alone in alabama and in Louisiana ill have fam. Then when i tried to plead my case she didnt want to here it. I just understand how she can do that. She been telling me for the last 2 weeks that i better find sum money to go there or i cant go. So i been applyin to everything!!!! showin her ill do what i gotta do to get there but that aint enough!!! it just hurts so bad cuase this is what i really want and for a long time. i was so scared i wasnt going to get in and then when i did i felt like i was finally gonna get my dream turned n2 a reality buta now it seems like that might not happen but i want it to soo bad what should i do?
In my own opinion you should do what makes you feel better. It's not like she's going to school, even if you come to the GREATEST hbcu in the world like she wants you to. College is about growth and stepping out of your safe zone. You won't perform well if you're absolutely miserable. It sounds like she doesn't feel like you're capable of being independent because of the family thing. So what you need to do is go out and keep applying for scholarships, loans, etc. Get the grades prove her wrong, but do it quietly, show her your maturity, that you can survive.
