Defended and passed!!
Finally, after nearly 7 years of diligent research, I defended my thesis on Nov. 9th and passed. The thesis defense was something I never ever want to do again. Normally, I'm not nervous during presentations, but my thesis talk?? I was sweating bullets, forgetting words, hands shaking, voice trembling!! The whole time one of my committee members was giving me the gas face and I just knew I was making absolutely no sense. But, then it was over, and I got good remarks from everyone, they said it was good, and that I passed. I had to double check the signature sheet a few times to make sure, and then I turned that bad boy in and cleaned out my desk!! That night, I had several congratulatory shots of tequila and irish car bombs from other grad students and friends.
Now... I gotta start a real job. Monday morning, 8am. I haven't been to work at 8am in about 3 years, LOL. This will be a completely different schedule than the "whenever I get in - whenever I decide to leave" schedule I'm accustomed to. :-)

Congrats, glad to hear that. I understand how you feel, but I never got the opportunity to defend my thesis while in undergrad. God Bless.
