Who is Black in America?
I was looking at some of Soledad’s documentary that will run this Sunday about who is Black in America. They were focusing on skin color which tells me how ignorant we are.
Little do we understand that it is not about skin color. It is about race and ethnicity. From the lightest to the darkest ones of us we are the same race and ethnicity. We did not make ourselves. We did not teach ourselves that light skin is better than dark skin. White English men made us using African women and themselves but in about 75 to 100 years from now we will blend into one shade of color for the most part. We are going into our sovereign country as one people and cohabitating with each other will blend us into one shade and one trait.
It is apparent that we don’t know who we are. But, I know who we are and it seems like I and Mr. Sanford are the only two already that knows who we are.
We are a new race of people born out of the ashes of plantation slavery when White men breed themselves with the first wave of their Africans slave women for 300 and ended after the Civil War. At that time we numbered may be 22 million, but now we number 41 million.
Am I off my rocker or are you all ignorant Black American people?
