Well, I know for me when I first came to BSU, I thought I did the right thing by cutting my hair. BIG MISTAKE!!! I would advise you to get braids because their easier to maintain, and trust me you are not going to feel like getting up and doing your hair every morning. If you want to wear your own hair, then thats cool to. Trust me there is always someone who can do some hair on every campus.

I feel you on that. When I started XU, I just walked down the street and went into the shop. I watched how the hairdresser did everyone else hair and I gave her a shot. Especially if you can watch how the hairdresser can put in a relaxer, that'll be good. You don't want them to overprocess by just slapping the stuff in your hair. If you are going to Howard, I went to a hairdresser name Bill in D.C and he is THA BOMB. Very nice shop (beautiful hardwood floors, serve you whatever juice you want to drink and croissants/donuts) but he may be a bit pricey but well worth it. His process for a wash and set is washing you out and blow drying your hair with a round comb and that's it. Once you're done, your hair is silky straight and full of bounce. I need to send an e-mail to my friend to get his info for ya if that's sounds like something you like.
