Black College Colors
Now I know that we love our black colleges. Even with their faults we love them unconditionally. We are quick to complain about everything from visitation to food or why I can’t transfer my credits to some other school. We are even quicker to defend our schools against anyone else.
I always have had one problem with our black colleges and last night while watching a game on TV I had to wonder again. Why in the heck do we have such crazy colors? Better yet why do we have such crazy looking uniforms? I watch the game only to see different colors on the band uniforms than the football uniforms. Jackson State is a perfect example of that. But for me, I’ve seen some of the ugliest use of colors on some of these college uniforms. How can a school like Howard whose colors are red white and blue make their uniforms look so boring and ugly? How can Morgan State, whose Orange and Blue are the same colors as the Florida Gators, Syracuse Orange, Illinois Fighting Illini, come up with uniforms that are just plain bad.
We are some of the most stylish and creative folks on the planet. How can this happen? I’ve seen stuff so bad that I know why people don’t want to buy them. My question to you all is, who has the best and worst college uniforms. Right now I’d say that Tennessee State is the best uniform and a toss up between Savannah State and Morgan State are the worst.
