I am noticing the bright and vast array of brilliant people in the Human Services for people field, i.e. Psycholgy, Sociology, Behavioral Health Sciences, etc.etc.etc. And combinations thereof.
There is no way a people cn go through over 400 yrs of slavery(the history books don't tell you the whole story, much longer than that) and not suffer massive mental debilitative generational problems that affect the majority of us today, many people function, but many people struggle. Just look at the world.
Much work to do and a whole gamut of room for all, there are over 6 billion people in the world, I believe over 90% of the world is struggling with something.
Just think about the 70+% divorce rate, if 2.5 children involved per household, you do the math. Incalcable.
Black people have had targets on their backs since the dwn of time.
Don't let Clarence Thomas, JC Watts etc. fool you.
They represent some of the sickest along with Condoleeza Rice(respectfully Alabamians, even she came much later and her mother lives there:-) ).
Just think about it.
The job markets in these fields is to vast and varied to name. I tried to tell someone that, but the attitude shows where the problems lay.
The greatest people and the most negative all dealt with the mental.
The mental is the extension of the Spiritual.
We call all work together in some capacity.
I hate religion(Law, condemnation, the devil), but love spiritual(God is love).
This is what keeps us seperated, the devil sure knows. Even slavery, jim crow laws, anti civil rights were battles of principalities in far higher places than most can imagine.
M.L.K. and Malcolm X as well as Ghandi new this.
All did much and died for their causes, their critics ain't done nuthin but made books off of them after their deaths and done nothing since but screwed things up worse.
Anyway, lets cast envy, strife and jealousy aside and just do the darn thang.
No one is perfect, we all have our flaws, I have to brush my teeth in the morning, and night also. Get over it.
The 99.9% of people I see here are doing that despite many backgrounds.
I have honestly and sincerely made greater strides here with you at this site than all the what people call adults much older than I as well as my age have done in lifetimes, go figure.
I have my views why, you can figure out your also.
My applause, I have to give credit where due.
But I do know a thing or two, not all, but my 2cents worth.
Our lives as well as all those people especially our children depend on it.
The children you ignore marry your sons/daughters.

I feel you 100%. IF we don't help these hoodlums....which are our people with little/no parental support/presence in their lives then they will kill, rob, shoot, and steal from us and our offspring, family, friends, etc.
We must help our own. For who God has given much, that much more is required of us to help others. That is why it just motivates me more when we have Blacks that make it ...then forget where they came from (Condeleeza, Colin, Clarence)! HOW can you forget...why must you ACT white...or too good to associate with being Black?
It just gives me greater motivation to give back to my community and black people. We are seriously struggling with an array of issues. I just don't know where to start. But I guarantee you I won't do nothing. I will start anywhere....maybe with afterschool programs....or summer programs....or drug rehab programs....or marital counseling....or peer counseling...job resources....
I have to do something. I just can't watch my people being destroyed.....this doesn't make any sense whatsoever!!!!
