I was wrong (a poem)

I thought that i'd found something again, a brand new lover or maybe just a special friend.
But he turned out 2 b nothing more than all of the bums that came before.
At first I was thinking, girl you've got a chance! But it all changed that night after we danced.
We slept together that night. Not had s*x, but laid side by side and oh, it felt so right.
Like I infered I thought I was onto something but I was wrong. He was on those childish games but i'm 2 damn grown!
I'm too old for this mess, in my life I need a lot less stress. I'm just lucky I didn't give it up, give away my best.
