How much does the SATS count?

Sharelle Johnson · Friday, August 12th 2005 at 2:35AM · 122 views
How much does the SATs really count? Do you think it proves how intelligent a person is? I know many ppl that scored high on the SATs but have low GPA and I know ppl that scored low and have high GPA so are the SAT necessary? I wish I would have known about the ACT before I just found out about them this year. My high school wasn't vey informative.

No because it has been theorized that the SAT is culturally bias and I have witnessed it. Okay I was taking my SAT and there was one of those comprehension questions where it asked the point of a piece of literature, it had to do with piracy. One of the answers was something about giving respect to the grateful dead, I thought it was a pun saying that they would be grateful u didnt steal their music since they were dead...Yea I later found out there is a group called the grateful dead! i WAS HELLA MAD, CAUSE THE QUESTION MADE SENSE THEN!! It doesnt test intelligence it tests how smart you are and there is a difference especially regarding your future
