The Player(a poem)
He’ll meet u and sweep u off ur feet
He’s nice and he’s funny, so cute and so sweet
Surprisingly, he likes the same things as u
He does all the things that u love to do
He’s the perfect guy, the one of ur dreams
U belong together or so it seems!
He plays in ur eyes and okays wit ur hair
He tells u that he’ll always be there
His touch is so soft, his hold is so tight
His words are so soothing, his hiss is just right
U ditch all ur friends for ur new obsession
U don’t realize ur future is full of depression
U think that u love him, u give him ur heart
Little do u know that he’ll tear it apart
U do what he wants, u know its not good
U told him slow down and u think he understood
U let it slide buy, he’s just having fun
U’ll learn to like it as time goes on!
He’s taken ur heart and locked it away
And u see him wit a different girl the next day
U cry and u grieve, but then u forgive
He won’t do it again for as long as he lives!
At this point u’ve fallen into his trap
He has all control when ur in his lap
U believe he’s sorry, ur together again
U give him a chance, he’s ur only friend
Ur right where he want u, he molds u like clay
And u see him wit girl #3 the next day
He got what he wanted, accomplished his goal
He still has ur heart, which he evilly stole
He’s taken ur purity, u still cant believe
U feel hurt and cheap and extremely naïve
If only ur hair was curly not straight
If only u looked like u lost sum weight
If only ur clothes were alil bit tighter
If only ur teeth were alil bit whiter
U know he’s an ass but u still want him back
And u grieve about all of those qualities u lack
All u wanted was to have sum fin
Now u wish that this whole thing had never begun
U wish that one day u’ll see him cry
That one day he’ll know how he killed u inside!
But u know that he won’t cuz he’s numb to pain
He’ll be wit sum girl while u cry and complain
Beware of the players, they’ll steal ur heart
And they’ll give it back once its all torn apart
Don’t let them suck u into their game
Cuz once u lose, ur never the same
I've heard of this before. The sad thing about it is that it's true. I hate to see females done wrong, but I try to lead them away, but they don't notice till it's too late. I won't even get into that...it makes me cry how my homegirl been treated. Anywho, thanks for refreshing my memory on this poem. It's deep...
