Classy vs Trashy- what side are you on?

I attend a small college in Pennsylvania close to the state’s capitol, which unlike other schools does have a dress code. Personally, I am all for it. I believe that if a person wants that dream job, then they must have the skills but must also look the part.
However, sometimes I feel that some other people are not on the same accord with this thinking. I have seen females dressed in tights, fishnet stockings, and skirts so short, God forbid they drop a nickel, you’d go blind. The males are not excluded from this either. Some guys wear jeans, sneakers and fitted hats, knowing that we do have a dress code to follow. I do not intend on attacking anyone for the way that they dress, but there is a time and place for everything. Some of these outfits I’ve mentioned are great for clubbing with the girls, but not in a professional atmosphere. I get so angry at how girls get angry when a guy steps to them the wrong way. Why wouldn’t he with all your goodies hanging out?? Don’t put it on the market if it’s not for sale honey, simple as that. If you want that top position, then dress for it.
I understand that it’s hard being a female. We are constantly compared to the images that the media portrays as beautiful by the women on the magazines and videos, which in some cases are the furthest thing from reality. Most of those women are airbrushed and you probably wouldn’t recognize them walking down the street! (lol) We beat ourselves up to look a certain way, then (some) men do it to us and we see it in TV. But I can guarantee that the woman he’d rather have at the end of the day is not some girl shaking her behind on the TV screen. It’s someone that he can bring home to mom, the girl that looks good in a dress and heels and also in a pair of pajama pants and a ponytail, who can still be s*xy, yet do it in a tasteful manner. Just make sure you know how you want to represent yourself before you walk out that door.
Just a thought,
Zeena
