William Miles, president of Miles Educational Film Productions, Inc. has produced and directed numerous award-winning public television documentaries including the Academy Award nominated: LIBERATORS: FIGHTING ON TWO FRONTS IN WORLD WAR II, the Emmy Award winner: THE BLACK WEST, the informative BLACK STARS IN ORBIT, the nostalgic I REMEMBER HARLEM,the stunning MEN OF BRONZE, as well as THE DIFFERENT DRUMMER: BLACKS IN THE MILITARY, and BLACK CHAMPIONS to name a few.

The New Amsterdam Musical Association conceived in 1904 as a union for black musicians when they were denied admission into the white only local union. Lieut. James Reese Europe Leader of the 369th Harlem Hellfighters Band, was just one of the legendery members of this Historical Musical organization which still exists today and is the oldest African American Musical Organization of its type.

Note: When it comes marching bands i cant think of any other marching bands that has achieved what this marching band has achieved.......................................................................................Can You?
