Goodbye AJ and Free Part 2 (Why Free left ?)

B Dub · Saturday, July 30th 2005 at 3:52AM · 515 views
Like I said in Part 1 AJ and Free are no longer hosting the BET 's "106 and Park". I've been doing some researching and I may have found a "possible" reason why Free left. The following is from a source on a message board-free was given a verbal warning by BET Staff that they will be forced to take discplinary action if she release explicit content (lyrics) again while under her 106 contract, because as a host she have a reputation. She is a role model for the younger females audience. For ya'll that don't know they referring to Her Verse in Ying Yang Twins Wait Remix. Doing songs like that could ruin her "image". Assuming she took offense to that she quietly quit the show behind the scenes possibly pursuing her rap career. Beside AJ opening a restarant he was also doing a pilot for a show on UPN. so what do yall think of Free situation ? Do yall think that Free can do better in the rap industry ? holla back

Honestly that's really dumb because the fact that she can't express herself thru her music is just denying the very thing that hip hop was creating freedom from judgement from others i mean If it's an issue about being a role model y is it that they have guests ranging from all areas from lil Kim (b4 she was in that lil boo boo), Foxy , Trina that's not an ideal of an of a rolemodel but people still appreciate wat the do are they sayin that Frees rapping skills are'nt good enough 4 the industry please i beg 2 differ,I think they were scared that she might be recognized better as a female rapper and they might end up watchin her on 106 & Park wen she's gone lol that's all from me..........

I feel that Free can do soooo much better than being the host on 106 park. ANd if rapping is her passion why not quit. Right now is the best time as a female rapper, because now people are accepting diversity more than ever. Im sure she is going to bring the favor for the ladies

I agree with BET, but I also disagree with them. How can you say that Free can't use words defined by man as "curse words" but can allow half naked woman to shake their tails in a mans face and call it a music video. BET has lost touch with reality, and someone needs to inform them that they lack image already. I am a black male and I refuse to patronize Black Entertainment Television because of the way it depicts black people. BET no longer provides wholsome family entertainment but dry adult pleasure ranging from vulger languge to s*xual immortality. BET really needs to boost their own image by not allowing ridiculous guest who sing ridiculous songs appear on any of their shows. If i were Free i would sue BET for not allowing me to perform my first amendment right of Freedom of Speech. BET needs to GET REAL!!!!!!!

Yeah you all have valid points, Even though her 1st album flopped. she can get more sells since she is known as she also did photos for "King" magazine too. So this 37 year old beauty is far from being out of public eye for long.

Honestly I think she could do good in the industry because she's Free, but unfortunately, I never really got the chance to see what she has to offer as far as an artist. But like I said before I just wish them both the best in the future because 106 would not be the way it is/was if it they weren't hosting the show.
