Girl, I know exactly how u feel! but mine keeps changin from day to day! some days i'm ready to go out and be on my own, and the next day i'm not sure if i wanna go all the way to dc w/o my family and friends! Like u, i'm finally startin to accept the fact that its life, and u can't hold on to everything forever. hopefully, we'll meet some ppl at hu that will help take or minds off of missing home! get at me if u need me!
I FELT THE SAME WAY THAT YOU FEEL WHEN I LEFT TO GO TO BASIC TRAINING. I WAS SO AFRAID, NOT OF THE PHSICAL PART, BUT OF THE DISTANCE I WOULD BE FROM THE PEOPLE THAT I HAVE BEEN WITH MY WHOLE LIFE. NOW I'M OVER HERE IN IRAQ, ACROSS THE WORLD FROM MY FAMILY. BUT IT'S OK 'CAUSE I KNOW THAT I WILL SEE THEM AGAIN PRETTY SOON. BUT IT HELPED ME, 'CAUSE NOW I LOVE TO BE AWAY AND I WANT TO GO EVERYWHERE THAT GOD WILL LET ME. KEEP YOUR HEAD AND STAY POSITIVE. HOLLA
You're just going through what most freshman experience before they head off to school. Everyone gets all worked up and excited before they leave for school and a little nervous as the day draws near. I was exactly the same as you are right now. I couldn't wait to leave until the day was almost here and then all these worries crept into my head about leaving my friends and family. How would me and my roommate get along and how would I be received since I didn't know anyone in the area at all. But trust me, you won't have a problem once you step on campus....your parents leave....and you get that first taste of college life with your fellow students.
The relationships that are worthwhile at home will thrive and those that don't belong with you will wilt. And you'll meet some of the best people you'll ever know in college. Don't worry about it too much, ya know. Good luck and enjoy your freshman year...
Dont think ofit as a bad experience, just think of it as a way to meet nice new people and to better yourself. When you get there you will see!!! Good Luck!!
Be Excited your going to have alot of fun, Just make sure you stay Focus on your goals.
G, I totally feel what your saying! I kinda feel the same way. But girl we gotta wipe our eyes, dust off our shoulders and prepare for the time of our life. HU bout to be crazy fun and hella educational and informative! Turn that anxiety into excitement!
