Was I wrong

As i said before, i am a coo type person and i chill with alot of different people. Lately i have been chilling with my new found family members i just met a couple of weeks ago and yeah most of them are guys. Anyway we go to this place where everyone our age hangs out you know something like a club, anyway a person comes up to me and asks me am i dating one of them? Im like no there my family, my cousins anyway so im chilling and another person comes up to me and tell me that there is a rumor going around that the dude i chill with did some crazy stuff to me and that i was some type of hoe. Now i know i shouldn't have gotten mad because i know the truth but i did. I asked the person who told her this and she told me. It was some dude i didn't really know but i knew of him. Anyway i walked up to him despite what my cousins advised me to do and asked him why he was saying the things he was saying. He was like because its obvious you be with them all the time. I was like soo You ever think maybe their my family or there close friends of mine you dumba**. Anyway to make a long story short i told him he should be worrying about his girl and love life and what she's doing cause its obvious that She hasn't found her s*xuality yet. He was like what? I blurred out his girlfriend's lil secret, she has been experimenting with her same s*x.
Was i wrong for telling him this, i mean it wasn't my business to tell him but it wasn't his business to tell lies about me that he didn't even know about.
