Why Can't My Heart Just Turn Away?

Well... I'm a little nervous about putting my poetry out in the open. This is my first poem on here so be honest and tell me what you think.

WHY CAN'T MY HEART JUST TURN AWAY?
I just don't understand.
When i needed him most
Why didn't he take my hand
I can't explain the way I feel
This stronghold on my mind
I thought he was my one true love
Guess true love is hard to find
All I did was give him my all
Made him feel like a king
And I was just his well-known peasant
Trapped in my fairy tale dream
I burnt a hole in my pillow
From all the tears I've cried
My body aches and feel weak
From all the times I've tried
I asked him one last question
Before he went astray
I didn't expect him to answer but...
