Long Distance Relationships

I'm talking to this guy that leaves here with me in jacksonville fl, but i'm going to be leaving for school to go to Alabama A&M soon. He's staying here to go to BCC. I'm really feeling him and i want to continue my relationship with him but he's on the football team and is gonna be very far from me. should i stay with him to see if it works or just leave him alone.
