Stuck up or Just proud

Many times i have been called stuck up because I choose to only hang with certain people, conversate with certain boys and carry myself with confidence. But did I cross the line when I didn't want to be seen with the "ghetto" type girl or talk to the "thugged out boys" or just because i rather wear my clothes correctly. I believe that in Maya Angelou's poem "Still I Rise" This line describes me the best!

Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
Pumping in my living room.

There's nothing wrong with someone dressing up. If people hate, let them hate. They prob mad because they can't do it as well as you do.

I'm getting into the habit of dressing up, as I'm looking for comfortable dress clothes. Besides, you can dress up and still have fun or be that "ghetto" girl they want. You're still you...

Girl, don't be mad. I get that too, and I got that same poem in my room. I guess a lot of people hate our confidence because they don't have it?? I don't know but don't worry, I take it as confidence/Just proud
