i'm stayin in a co-ed dorm this semester and i was just thinking about what is meant when the co-ed is used. ive heard that its girls on one floor and boys on another. but still what are the limitations on that? is the dorm life different from a same s*x dorm and a co-ed dorm?

Depending on the school i think co-ed could mean its a mixture of men and females in the dorm. The colleges here in Springfield have co-ed dorms and there is a mixture of guys and girls on the same floor. co-ed dorm means men and females in the same dorm same s*x means all girls or all guys throughout the same dorm. I dont know if this helps or not. This is just my understanding of co-ed and same s*x dorms.

Believe me, dorm life is at least a little different when you stay in same s*x dorms. When i went to Alabama State it seemed like we had alot of rules as far as seeing people and when we could have vistors. Me personaly, i would love to stay in a co-ed dorm, it seems like it be even more freedom for a college student. What kind of rules do you have at your dorm? That is what makes the differents.

Well I am a student at Coppin State University, at my school the dorms are co-ed and male and female students stay on the same floors. In our dorms we live in suites containing seven to eight people, and there are four rooms in one suite. No males do not saty with females. Males have their own suites as well as females with there own suites. I hope I was little help to ur blog.
