Racism is a huge barrier
Despite the much appreciated efforts of those ahead of my time, Racism continues to deprive black people especially the african american male who with America's "system", is setup to fail. Statistics show that the majority of black men in urban areas between the ages of 14-28 are either in jail or deceased.... While looking through a magazine in the store, I ran across this disturbing racist joke.>>>>> Can anyone as an African American remeber the first time they realized that they weren't consider equal? Have you ever been racially insulted? Let me know what yall think.....
Things haven't changed in America. Some people think that it has only until they experience it first-hand. I mean, I was born and raised in the South, and I know for a fact that nothing has changed. To be honest racism still happens in the public schools down here. I mean, no one will admit it but it's true. Schools down here are still segregated to some, if not every, degree. It still even happens in some public facilities. But it' s more than just between Blacks and Whites, Hispanics and Asians are involved in it too. Not making any excuses for anything that is said or done, but it's the way of the South. I've learned it, lived it, and until things change, have to deal with it.
