MEAC Football vs. MAC Football

Hello this question is for football players, people who know a football player or know about playing football for a black college in the MEAC of any other HBCU Conferences. Is playing football for a black college just as fun, if not more, than for playing for a bigger program? I want to and most likely will play for Howard, GO BISON, but this school called University of Toledo, a Division 1-A program that wins their conference and goes to a bowl game every year, wants me to play for them and another school Bowling Green State University, another D 1-A school and a rival of Toledo, will be recruiting me heavy. I want to go to Howard because I believe I can go there and start earlier and do better there than at a larger program? What should I do? PLEASE HELP! ~1~

Black College Football is Ok but if you can go some where else do that. Toledo gets TV time and they have way more money. Black College players does not get much treatment like other D-! schools cause of the lack of money and TV time

Make the choice that you feel is right for you. I mean there is no game like an HBCU game. I go to Fort Valley and every game is exciting. I mean, everyone knows that Albany is our biggest rivalry in everything and the most exciting game of the year. My mom went to Hampton, so I got started in going to the games early. Plus, almost all of my cousins played football in high school. So, I mean, I think it will all depend on your environment. I've known players that went to D-I schools, but sometimes they let the idea of being in the spotlight get in the way. But just because you attend a D-I school doesn't mean that you will get the exposure that you necessarily want. Nothing is a guarantee. Go somewhere that you know you will have an impact as a player without compromising your career. I know D-I and D-II players that have gone pro.
