What i need and dont need

Ever since i have decided to go to an HBCU and got excepted to Tuskegee i have been arguing with my family about what is exactly needed when its time for me to go down there. I went to my future HBCU'S website and they offered a suggestive list of what a student should bring and still that just doesn't seem to suite my family. Some argue about not having enough money others argue about not having the right kind of clothes and all this other stuff and im just like i dont need all this. I shouldn't need tons and tons of money cause im going to be doing work study to put money in my pocket and i already have the things i need like clothes and stuff like that. I'm trying to please everyone cause im the first in the family to go away for college and their just trying to help but its like they are going and not me. Anyway i thought i'd get on here and ask the upperclass men and other incoming HBCU freshmen what they plan to being to their dorm thats not so close to home.
