I think that the blogs should have a JUMP TO page option or along with the "Next" link, put links to jump to a different page .. a la .. 2 3 4 5 6 .. next 10 pages ... etc ...

I would also cut the number of letters that appear on the home page .... probably can fit a few more blogs on it

On the member homepage, maybe you could have the administrator's blog up on top. It could be a sticky so to speak, so everyone can see it. I'm sure many people aren't going to see this as it's not on the Memeber homepage...
