Welcome to the 3rd Edition of The Blogger. So far, the last two editions of The Blogger garnered over 150 hits. Needless to say, that's impressive. I'd like to thank everyone that reads The Blogger and responds to it. It's been a long week, with much stuff going on. Let's get to it.
Big news of the week, the Jackson trial has gone to the jurors. Going over the case, I've noticed that the media has been very careful not to say that Mike is guilty or innocent of the trials. I like how the specials ran and showed his past history with the accuser and family, as well as his past alleged s*xual abuse. Now, I really would like for Mike to be not guilty. However, even if he does receive a verdict of not guilty, I'd question Mike. Does he really do this stuff? If so, he definitely needs to go into rehab or some rehabilitation service. Mike is one of the best when it comes to music. He could easily get a wife or girlfriend if he wanted too. We'll see how this plays out. I think it'll come down to one of the star witnesses. Everyone from Jay Leno to Chris Tucker was involved...
Well...it's official. The Spurs will take on the Pistons. I dont' like either team. The Heat blew it...they had the series won, and they let it go. However, I do see this as a feasible matchup. Both teams have won the Championships, and both have some pretty good key players. I think the difference for this series will be Tim Duncan. The reason for this is because he is one of the players who carries the team. If he doesn't do well in the series...they will lose. I hope it's a good series though. Man...I really thought the Heat was going to win. They should've won. I would've enjoyed seein the Heat play against the Spurs. It looks like Shaq didn't deliver on his promise. He said he would bring the championship to Miami...and he didn't. Anywho, I hope the Spurs/Pistons series will be good. I will be rooting for the Pistons, as the only person I like on the Spurs is Manu Ginnobli...
Well...Sunday, I returned from Nashville after a long, but fun 5 days. During the process we learned some things to do when we report for the media. There were people from all over (Howard, Hampton, North Carolina A&T, Jackson State, etc.). There were 15 of us, with four of us being guys. Anywho, I did a story on some construction that was going on at Vanderbilt. But I met some really cool people that I plan to stay in touch with. Nashville itself was ok. We walked about 11 blocks (took three by bus) to this club, only to find out it sucked. There was no one dancing in it. Maybe it's because we got there early; we got there at 11. NO ONE was dancing except for us. That shows how great the club was. My homegirl didn't even get drunk off the drinks they served. And no, I don't drink...
I am looking forward to purchasing some items soon. I will be buying the Dave Chapelle Season Two DVD soon. I also plan to buy the Flintstones Season 1 DVD as well. I miss the Flintstones, and it'll be nice to see them again. I want to buy Boogeyman, but I've been told it's not all that, as some people have told me. I'll probably rent it first, and then see if I want to buy it. Hopefully, I'll be chilling in Dallas at the mall and having fun.
I went to Grambling today, and I found out something interesting. All of the old t-shirts in the bookstore were on sale for $3.99 and under. You know I had to get some. I grabbed two for me, one for my sister, and one for my mom. It felt good to actually save on Grambling stuff...as it is known to be very high in the bookstore. So, if you ride through Grambling anytime soon, check out the bookstore and buy up some shirts before it's too late. Also, these shirts can be worth a lot in the future. Check it out if you get a chance.
I'll be heading to Dallas tomorrow, so I need to get some sleep. Before I jet, I must say congrats to all of the 2005 graduating class. Even though you'll never match the class of 2003, you guys are still special. Good luck with your future whether its collegiate or workforce; just enjoy life. Wish me luck during my internship. I'll be checking back whenever I can. I may not be in the chat room, but I'll definitely be checking out my guestbook. Alright people, that's it. Move it along; nothing else to see here. Peace...
