Ok, I have to admit, even though I attended Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC and our neighboring school (right next door) South Carolina State was also sort of our rivals (even though they had about 5,000 more students than us), I was really proud to see their band (and some old friends of mine) down in VA for the Battlefest! Dana you know you were lookin good! Special thanks to all of the bands who participated and a special congratulations to our $1000.00 scholarship winner Veronica Page from Livingstone College. All of the band directors and drum majors from each shool, thanks. Now don't be actin like strangers when we come to your school!
But anyway, it was funny, cause here I was cheering for SCSU like I went there or something! But it's all HBCU love here, sooooooo SCSU, REPRESENT! (?) ;-)
