In the past 6 years, IHSCR’s creative research infrastructure at Shaw University has enabled it to launch an aggressive research agenda in several areas of health disparities.

The conference will feature a dynamic showcase of the health disparities research conducted at the Institute, and a forum for exploring partnerships and collaborations for addressing health disparities.

The Institute is very pleased to announce that Dr. Harriet A. Washington and Dr. Thomas A. LaVeist will serve as keynote speakers. Dr. Harriet A. Washington is a medical ethicist who is an award-winning medical writer and editor with former appointments at Harvard Medical School, Harvard School of Public Health and Stanford University. Dr. Thomas A. LaVeist is the William C. and Nancy F. Richardson Professor in Health Policy, and the Founding Director of the Center for Health Disparities Solutions at Johns Hopkins University. The day promises to be filled with insightful information about health disparities research. Be sure to mark your calendar for this exciting event.
