
The Fayetteville State University (FSU) Annual Fund Campaign ended June 30 and is expected to come within 3 percent of reaching its $2 million goal. Donations are still being tallied, and a total is expected by the end of the week.
The Annual Fund Drive began November 2007. Serving as Honorary co-chairpersons for the Annual Fund Drive were local businesswoman Ms. Terri Union and Dr. John D. Fuller, pastor of Lewis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Curtis Worthy, a politician and civic leader, was the campaign general chair.
Fayetteville State University is a constituent institution of The University of North Carolina and the second-oldest public institution of higher education in the state. Founded in 1867 as the Howard School for the education of African Americans, today FSU serves a growing student body of 6,700 students and ranks among the nation's most diverse campus communities.
