Black student charged with 22 years for fight with white student (2154 hits)

What do we do as a black community to fight against this kind of injustice in our country? I know I'm personally boycotting Louisiana...

The state should go after the racists in charge of their local governments.

Ignorance is such a contagious human disease. The generation of the 80's and younger generation need to understand that everything is not rose tinted and the civil rights era was only about 40+ years ago, not thousands. WAKE UP!!

When and where did this happen? What is the name of the student who was charged and has there been an appeal filed? What are the circumstances of this case and where can we find out more about it. As an African American we can not sit back and let a just cause go un challenged (I would like to know what justification allowed this to happen). 22 years sounds like and murder charge not an assault charge...I am willing to help in any way that I can if this is a just cause. I believe until we all stand against any injustice we are all slaves. If we are not slaves are are free men and women, we should act like we are.

And some folk that are black believe racism is not alive and some white folk still deny it. Only takes 1 opportunity for it to rear it's ugly head...
