To my Greek family and friends,
I would like to thank everyone for the positive responses my team and I have received regarding the 1st Parade given to honor our Black Greek Lettered Organizations and Social groups.
I’m telling you this is exciting, some of our great news….
The National Pan Hellenic Council of Nassau Suffolk Counties, not only endures our event, they are co-sponsoring the Parade, thanks to Kevin E. Boston-Hill, President
National Pan Hellenic Council of Nassau & Suffolk Counties and member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. for seeing and understanding my vision of this great parade.
This is great news because it means that mostly all the Divine 9 organizations should be front and center marching down Nassau Rd, in Roosevelt, NY on Saturday June 30th.
Alphas, AKAs, Deltas, Omegas, Kappas, Sigmas, Zetas, SGRhos, and Iotas all showing their pride, colors, and why we have a place in history.
More GREAT news…This Parade will have a NATIONAL PAST PRESIDENT! It is important that we take this seriously, and we are on our way, I have the pleasure of speaking to a Past National President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. whom has confirmed he will be in one of the front cars leading proudly his Fraternity. We hope this is just the beginning and other dignitaries will join us, political, social, and Fraternal, if you know any people ask them to join us.
Please come and join your organization, the more the better, in fact the organization with the most members and the best parade set up will win $1000. So call all your Auxiliary clubs, freshen up the Greek letters on your shirts, wax the cars, mini vans, vans, SUVs, trucks, (they can be in the parade) and /or go big and make a float!
If you are from or live in New York City or State, New Jersey and or Connecticut, we want you to join us, New York City NPHC and members of all letters Greek and Non Greek alike, please join us.
Saturday June 30th, Nassau Rd, Roosevelt Long Island, all day festival, vendors, rides for children, stage performances, youth stepshow and parade. The parade will begin at 5pm line up is on Centennial Rd and Nassau Rd. The day will end after the parade at 8pm.
The next day, Sunday July1st, the official Greekfest Greek Picnic, in Roy Wilkins Parks in Queens, New York. Join us for a all day fun in the park, a Step Show Tournament, a Concert, Vendors, and more.
This will be a great weekend for Greeks of all ages. The most important thing to say is “get involved” “be positive” this is the 23rd year I put on the Greekfest, however it is the 1st Parade to honor us.
