Good relationship turned Bad (557 hits)

My realtionship with my boyfriend of 1 year and 7 months has turned bad. He is becoming jealous of my prom date. He gets an attitude when I say I have spoke with him or if I was on the phone with my date right before talking to him. The arguing has gotten to the point where i'm starting to call it quits. I keep telling him to stop being so jealous, there is nothing going on between my prom date and I. I'm getting sick of all the "I trust you", "I can't share you", "Well your my girlfriend as long as he knows that", and he always top the end of the arguement with: "I'm sorry and I love you." Can anybody tell me how to handle this situation because I'm tired of losing sleep.

To be honest I think if your having this much trouble in a realationship over something so small maybe you should call it quits, because if you can't get over the small stuff how are you going to get over the big stuff. I had a real clingy guy too but we really never argued about it, and we always seemed to know how to move around issues that brought that out of him. Yes the realationship was somewhat limiting but we always made it through the small stuff without much bickering that's how I knew the realationship had some real possiblities. My advice to you is if you don't have that stop trying to make something work that can't be fixed. I know it's hard but in the end it might just be better for you.

I don't know what to tell you. HONESTLY..... I would say the same thing to my girl if she was going anywhere with someone else. However I think you are doing all the right things by explaining to him that you aren't going to try anything "funny". If my girl did all the things you were doing then I would have a problem with it. But if you kept seeing him on the side then there would be a problem.
