Details: Ever since Arthur Scandrett was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in his last year of college at Howard University, he had to give up his part-time job because of weakness, but he had such pride, he did not want to tell his parents but had to when he finally had to resort to a wheelchair just to carry on with his studies so he could graduate. This is the story of many handicapped students who struggle even before it becomes visible. This is the only scholarship of its kind at Howard University and is a 501 © (3) organization that Scandrett started to provide scholarships to several students whose names are provided by the Howard University Disability Department. Come out and hear their heartwarming stories of their determination to succeed at the collegiate level, whether in wheelchair, walkers, or losing eyesight, full use of fingers, arms, legs, or hearing, etc
