
According to a report, Michael Jackson will sell his stake in the Beatles catalog. MJ's share of the Beatles music was rumored to be the cause of the long fought battle to put the classic tracks in the hands of the label owner. Last year, Jackson reportedly sold $500 million dollars of the catalog back to Sony Music to avoid bankruptcy.
HAPPY BORN DAY: A special Happy Birthday shout out goes to rapper Young Buck who celebrates his birthday today. Buck stated label head Jimmy Iovine refers to him as the cleanup man, as his new album, "Buck the World", hits stores next Tuesday and is expected to bring G-Unit back to the top of the charts.
SAYING "BYE, BYE" LIKE GUY: LL Cool J appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel show and confirmed he's officially leaving Def Jam; his album "Exit 13" pretty much backs his claims. LL insisted to Kimmel that he's not leaving the label he's been with his entire career because of President Jay-Z, but hinted it played a part in his decision.
