When My Father and Mother Forsake Me, Then My Abba Will Take Me Up (Psalms 27:10) is a powerful memoir written from the broken and poignant voice of an African-American man - William W. Hemmans III. Hemmans' life was one of abandonment; by parents, by family, by foster systems, social systems and educational systems. This mind questions the temporary solutions given by way of the mental health field and argues against false solutions of accompanying medications. The writer attests the only permanent solution is spiritual.

William W. Hemmans III received a B.S. Degree in Political Science/Psychology from Florida A&M and is working toward a Masters Degree in Psychology and his dual J.D. /MBA degree. William is aspiring for his Masters of Divinity Degree with a Concentration in Counseling at Liberty University.
